Intentional is a community for people who are serious about love. Keeping it safe, authentic, and respectful is central to that mission. This page explains the trust and safety controls we use to protect our members.
Every member must complete identity verification before their profile is fully visible. This includes a verification photo and a short verification video, which are reviewed by our moderation team and compared to profile photos. Verification is used only to confirm you are who you say you are — your ID is never shared with other members.
Intentional is strictly for individuals 23 and older. Age is confirmed during registration and again during onboarding.
All outgoing text and guided-prompt messages are screened automatically before they are delivered. Messages containing sexual or explicit content, sexual advances, harassment, threats, hate speech, self-harm, doxxing, solicitation, or illegal activity are blocked at send and never reach the recipient.
Automated screening is an additional layer of protection — not a substitute for member judgment or human review. If something slips through, please report it.
You can report any profile or conversation from within the app. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, typically within 48 hours. Actions may include warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.
Members agree to our Acceptable Use Policy, which prohibits harassment, impersonation, trafficking, illegal acts, and non-consensual intimate imagery. We act on violations quickly and decisively.
Photos, voice notes, and video intros are visible only to your matches. Verification media is used solely for verification and is not shared with other members.
If you ever feel unsafe or notice concerning behavior, report it in the app or reach out through our Support page. For emergencies, contact local authorities first.
